Sdn Jessi Kaur will address the subject of “Death, Dying and the Ultimate Journey”
Birth, life, death and the continuous cycle of life and death are recurring themes in SGGS. Fear of death is acknowledged as being widely prevalent, and sometimes induced to bring home the importance of living in divine remembrance. The bhagats, however, anticipate death with joy. Gurbani also tells us that nothing is born and nothing dies. There are several intimations to immortality as well as dying while alive. Jessi Kaur will attempt to explain the various references to death and dying in SGGS, and dwell upon how we prepare for the ultimate journey upon which all of us have to embark.
